Calcium Rich Energy Bars

These delicious homemade energy bars make for a perfect snack that will help you maintain your daily calcium levels. They also contain lots of magnesium, iron, zinc, thiamin, and manganese.

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup of black sesame seeds

  • 3/4 cups of hemp hearts

  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut

  • 2 cups lightly packed, pitted dates

  • 1/2 cup tahini butter

  • 3/4 tsp sea salt

Instructions
  1. Add the seeds and coconut to a blender and pulse a few times to combine.

  2. Add the dates, tahini butter, and sea salt and process until it resembles a crumbly dough.

  3. Line a square baking pan and press the dough firmly into the pan. Take a few minutes to really work it in there.

  4. Place the pan in the freezer for 3 hours to firm up. Lift the bars out of the pan and cut into 16 bars or squares. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freezer for up to 3 months.
